Safety Message from the Irving Fire Department: 4TH OF JULY

The Irving Fire Department asks everyone to enjoy but be safe this coming 4th of July. Please keep the following safety tips in mind:

Grilling Safety

  • Propane and charcoal BBQ grills should only be used outdoors.
  • The grill should be placed well away from the home, deck railings and out from under eaves and overhanging branches.
  • Keep children and pets at least three feet away from the grill area.
  • Never leave your grill unattended.

Firework Safety

  • The possession, manufacture, storage, sale, handling, and use of fireworks is PROHIBITED in the City of Irving.

  1. My mother lives in Allen, Tx and will be tuirgnn 70 this August. She has gained so much weight due to lack of activity. She has poor sleeping patterns and complains that her feet/ankles are too small for her body so she can’t do anything on her feet for very long or her legs/feet ache. I would like for someone to help my mom get more active so she can enjoy her grandchildren, sleep regualarly and be healthy.Thank you,Eve
