Commemorating its 36th year of service, President Jennifer Jamieson, on behalf of the Junior League of Collin County, introduced an appropriate theme of “BEElieve” at the annual Junior League of Collin County Leadership Retreat, held at the Marriott Courtyard in Allen for the 2012-2013 year. Looking forward to the new-year and continuing the vision of the Junior League, per Mrs. Jamieson “Each year the JLCC president selects an internal theme which represents the vision for her term. I chose the theme BEElieve in Junior League of Collin County because of how much I believe in this organization! I believe in our mission, our members and the impact that we can make on the community and ourselves.”
The newly elected 2012-13 board also includes; President-Elect Marina de la Garza; Community Projects Vice President Angie Sifferman ; Secretary Tamra Sadafsaz; Treasurer Carrie Justice; Placement Director Sheri Steele; Nominating Director Christel Morrison; Communications Management Council Vice President Brandi Spurgin; Finance Council Vice President Maria Moffatt; Membership Council Vice President Lesley Guinn; Planning Council Vice President Theresa Caver ; Ways & Means Council Vice President Kim Brown ; Governance and Policy Director Allison Cunningham ; Executive Assistant Cindy Zaby; and Sustaining Advisor Kathy Schell.
The Junior League of Collin County is proudly celebrating 36 years of service, equipped with over 900 women and will impact over 100 agencies and distribute significant financial and volunteer support to Collin County. They are an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
