Black chambers convene in Austin for 12th annual

The Texas Association of African American Chambers of Commerce (TAAACC) will host its 12th Annual Conference Sept. 13-15 atAustin’s Crowne Plaza Hotel & Convention Center in Austin.

“Our theme this year – Putting Your Business in the Black by Design – highlights the qualities our members will have to demonstrate in the current economic climate,” said TAAACC Chairman Jim Wyatt. “Even thoughTexas has escaped the brunt of the economic downturn, African American businesses and the chambers that support them will have to sharpen our skills and stiffen our resolve to be competitive in this environment.”

Representing the interests of nearly thirty Black chambers across the state, TAAACC will convene a line-up of workshops and seminars designed to address small business issues, contracting opportunities and professional development for chamber officials.
