James Gandolfini, popular Sopranos star, reportedly died in Italy

James Gandolfini was the empathic mobster Tony Soprano in the popular Sopranos series on HBO.  During the six years of the series he won three Emmys as Best Actor. According to Variety.com he died of a stroke in Italy today, however, TMZ.com claims it was a heart attack. 

Gandolfini was reportedly in Italy for the 59th Taormina Film Festival. The 51 year old actor is survived by his wife Deborah Lin. They have a daughter born in October of last year. Gandolfini has a son from an earlier marriage.
