Salem Institutional Baptist Church: Celebrating their 125th church anniversary

indexSalem Institutional Baptist Church celebrates its 125th church anniversary on August 11 in both the 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. worship services.

All events will be located at the church in South Dallas, TX at 3918 Crozier Street, directly behind Charles Rice Elementary School.

The speaker for the 11 a.m. morning service is Reverend Dr. Zan Wesley Holmes, Jr., Pastor Emeritus of St. Luke “Community” United Methodist Church will bring the word at the 11 a.m. service and Senior Pastor Bryan L. Carter of Concord Missionary Baptist Church will speak at the 3:30 p.m. service.

Both services will feature a memorial tribute to Salem’s rich legacy of Christian service and community awareness for 125 years in the heart of Sunny South Dallas. Under the leadership

of Rev. Todd M. Atkins, (the Son of Mayor Pro Tem Tennell Atkins and Mrs. Marvella Atkins), Salem continues to minister into the lives of its members and the community-at-large.
