Dallas Children Theater presents Dr. Seuss The Cat in the Hat. The North Texas premiere of Dr. Seuss The Cat in the Hat tickets will go on sale August 1 at 9:00 a. m.
We couldn’t be more excited to open our season with such a classic, hilarious show, especially for our 30th birthday, says DCTs Education Director and director of the show.
DCT continues to do its part to extend the theater experience by providing engagement opportunities above and beyond the play itself. Immediately following every performance will be a lively and interactive discussion and demonstration called, Cat in the Hat – Howd We Do That? Some lucky patrons will even get the chance to go up on stage and experience what it takes to create magical moments from the show.
A grand finale and rousing rendition of Happy Birthday led by DCTs very first employee, Karl Schaeffer, wearing a special birthday party hat (from DCTs hat design contest) will conclude the entire event to honor DCTs 30th, as well as patrons in the audience celebrating their birthdays too.
In addition to the show, DCT will provide a free community birthday party with family friendly activities after the 1:30 p. m. show of Dr. Seuss The Cat in the Hat on September 21 from 3:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. in celebration of the theaters 30th birthday.
DCT festivities will be filled with food, fun, giveaways and much more.
