Norma Gonzales an Irving ISD school board member was arrested over the weekend

As reported on Saturday morning the Irving Police Department arrested 48 year old Norma Gonzales for shoplifting at Walmart with items worth $184.01 in her purse. Gonzales was recently elected to the Irving ISD Board of Trustees when she ran unopposed. Earlier she was fired from her school secretary position. 

The district has not released an official statement regarding the matter.
