Six bands—all comprised of Dallas-area lawyers and judges—will take the stage in the ultimate pro bono rock concert to raise awareness for legal assistance for low-income residents of Dallas County. Attorneys by day, and band members by night, these 6 rock bands will play back-to-back at LAW JAM 4, a benefit concert for pro bono legal aid.
“The most fun place to be in Dallas, Texas, on August 17, 2013 will be the Granada Theater, where the coolest lawyer bands—Big Wheel, Black Dirt Tango, Blue Collar Crime, The Catdaddies, Noah Snark and Random Blue—will be rockin’ for pro bono,” said DBA President Sally Crawford. “This event raises money for the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, which provides free civil legal services to the poor. So put on your t-shirts and jeans and get ready to party for pro bono!”
All proceeds will benefit the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program, a joint initiative of the Dallas Bar Association and Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas, which assists approximately 3,500 families per year. In addition, a silent auction will be available.
The band lineup includes:
6 p.m. – Black Dirt Tango
6:55 p.m. – Blue Collar Crime
7:50 p.m. – Big Wheel
9 p.m. – The Catdaddies
9:55 p.m. – Noah Snark
10:50 p.m. – Random Blue
The public is invited to join hundreds of lawyers who will attend the event. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. at The Granada Theater, 3524 Greenville Ave., in Dallas.
