DENTON, Texas (UNT) – Starting this fall, UNT’s Early Childhood Music program expands to offer two sessions for young children to learn about music through hands-on experiences and play.
“Offering Friday and Saturday sessions gives families more options and the flexibility to participate in the Early Childhood Music program,” said Heidi Scheibmeir, assistant director of the program.
The classes, taught in room 115 in the College of Music Annex, offer hands-on time with musical instruments and plenty of engaging activity for young children.
The 10-week session costs $140 for participants from birth to 24 months of age, and $160 for 25 months to 48 months and those attending the multi-age class of birth through 5 years old. These Friday sessions will also require paid parking, which is available for $2 an hour in the Highland Street Parking Garage. Additional children may attend at a 10 percent discount.
The 5-week session costs $70 for participants from birth to 24 months of age and $80 for 25 months through 5 years. Parking is free in the lot across from the Music Annex during these Saturday sessions. Additional children may attend at a 10 percent discount.
