On Day 1 of the 2013 US Open, 128 names filled the lines of the women’s draw. On Day 14, two remain.

For the second consecutive year here in New York, women’s top seed Serena Williams takes on No. 2 Victoria Azarenka for the US Open women’s title. After two weeks of play, the two best in the women’s game go head-to-head on tennis’ grandest stage, each promising to provide the same level of high drama that defined the 2012 women’s final.

Surprisingly, this is the first time since 2003 that the women’s top line has intersected with the bottom line in a US Open final, and on the heels of two weeks of thrilling twists, both the No. 1 and No. 2 are starring in one sequel that promises to be every bit as entertaining as the original.
