Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program host Monthly Legal Clinics for Dallas County residents

dvap_legacy_society_150wIn the month of October, the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program (DVAP), a joint initiative of the Dallas Bar Association and Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas, will hold nine free Legal Clinics for Dallas County residents who meet certain financial guidelines. All clinics begin at 6:00 p.m., with the exception of the Veteran’s Clinic, which begins at 2:00 p.m.

Schedules and locations are as follows:

East Dallas (Grace United Methodist Church—4105 Junius at Haskell)

 Thursdays, October 3; and October 17

South Dallas (Martin Luther King, Jr. Center—2922 MLK Blvd.)

 Tuesdays, October 1; October 8; and October 22

West Dallas (3107 N. Winnetka Dallas, TX 75212)

 Thursdays, October 10; and October 24

Garland (Salvation Army—451 W. Avenue D, Garland, TX 75040)

 Thursday, October 17

VA Medical Center (for veterans only)—2:00 p.m.

The clinics offer free legal advice and consultation in civil matters for those who qualify under Legal Aid’s income eligibility guidelines.
