Dallas Courts to close temporarily for replacement of Court Case Management System

indexThe Dallas Municipal Courthouse will be closed starting Friday Sept. 27 through Monday Sept. 30 for implementation of new software to replace the current court case management system. Only payments sent by mail will be accepted during the closure; postmarks will be honored.

The Courthouse will be partially open Sept. 25 and 26 and Oct. 1 and 2 but there will be no trials or pre-trial hearings. Collections cashiers will continue to serve defendants and attorneys.

The courthouse will reopen to the public on Oct. 1 for services such as citations or driving school payments but not for any services requiring an appearance before a judge. The Court will reopen to the public for all services on Thursday Oct. 3. Community Courts will reopen on Monday Oct. 7.

More efficient processes, less paperwork and enhanced customer service are some of the benefits expected from the new system.
