As many African American film fans have been very disappointed by what they referred to on Facebook as a “white out” they can take solace in winning the grand prize of the night Best Drama.
As director Steve McQueen finished his acceptance speech – he included a shout out to Brad Pitt who he credited with, “this film would never have been made without.”
While the other minority-based publications focus on South Dallas, there is only ONE newspaper that focuses on African-Americans in North Dallas and the surrounding areas. It’s the North Dallas Gazette, a good choice when you want to reach a true representation of Dallas African-American consumers.
