Dallas Dept. of Street Services at Ice Force Level 1

dallas picAs of 3 p.m. this afternoon, the Department of Street Services continues its sanding operations at Ice Force Level 1. There has been a small amount of sand/salt mixture distribution needed this afternoon.

The staff has reported wet streets in different areas of the city. The current temperature is above freezing (33°F) and the forecast suggests a chance of precipitation this afternoon. Therefore, Street Services continues to monitor the bridges, overpasses (elevated surfaces), inclines, and areas critical to public safety throughout the afternoon especially before the 5 p.m. rush hour traffic.
