Update on standoff with suspects and Dallas Police SWAT

dallas_police_badge-150x150Update at 4:30 p.m. – After “loud-hailing” any potential suspects or occupants in the apartment with no response, SWAT entered the apartment and found no one inside. Detectives are following up with the complainant who was originally taken to the hospital.

Statement from the Dallas Police regarding the SWAT team’s standoff with suspects:

“At about 9:45 a.m. Dallas police were called to the area of 8th and Ewing regarding a female who had been assaulted in an apartment nearby.  The victim advised officers that the suspects were still inside the apartment and might be armed.  Dallas police called in the SWAT team and they have since set up a perimeter and have attempted to call the suspects out of the apartment.  They continue to work toward a peaceful resolution.”
