Lupita Nyong’o is on track to have one the greatest birthday weekends one can imagine as she turns 31 years old today.
First, she has spent months wowing Hollywood and fashion lovers around the world for several months. Moviegoers love her performance and many expect her to win the Oscar tomorrow night for her role in 12 Years a Slave – a film Time Magazine predicts will win Best Picture. On top of that her speech given this week has received nothing but raves. She was excited to meet the legendary Sidney Poitier, and finally her latest movie – Non-Stop, an action flick, is leading the box office on opening week.
But to see such an elegant young woman enjoy her moment in the spotlight with her mother tells me – her birthday and this weekend is just icing on the cake.
