Deion Sanders points out Michael Sam will not be the first gay NFL player

deion-sandersDeion Sanders contributed to the discussion of gay players being in the National Leagues on The Arsenio Hall Show.  The Hall of Famer, Sanders, stated that there has always been a gay player on the rooster throughout his years in the franchise.

“We always knew,” Sanders said. “But he was cool. That was our boy. We had to look out for him.”

Sanders brought out the fact that Michael Sam, is not the first gay player to play for any league, but he is considered to be the first gay player to make it public information.

As far as Sanders view on same gender relationships, he said that he did not “condone or condemn” the act.
