Frisco Square and Main Street shut down because of gas leak

garage-storage-frisco-texasUpdate 4:50 p.m.: The gas leak has been stopped. Residents of the Frisco Square building are being allowed to return. Main Street lane reopened.

One of the building in Frisco Square, 6195 Main Street, is being evacuated as a result of a gas leak that occurred outside the building. CoServ Gas is on the scene and expects repairs to be complete in 45-90 minutes. CoServ requested the evacuation as a precautionary measure. The building includes restaurants and apartments.
A construction crew working in the area hit the gas line, causing the leak. All eastbound lanes of Main Street are closed to traffic, while the leak is repaired.
