The Allen ISD Board of Trustees approved two resolutions Monday for the repair of Allen ISD stadium. The $60 million stadium is closed due to structural damage. This move provides Superintendent Lance Hindt with the ability to spend up to $2 million for repairs if PBK Architects and Pogue Construction cannot.
Superintendent Hindt reportedly referred to the authorization as a “security blanket” so repairs can begin immediately. He suggested that in the long run Pogue Construction will likely be financial responsible for repair costs. The vote on Monday will allow repairs to get underway within the month.
The two companies potentially held liable for the damage, may be at the top of the list to handle the repairs.
