Perry plans to finish term despite pressuring D.A. to step down

A defiant Gov. Rick Perry of Texas vowed Saturday to remain in office until the end of his term next year and aggressively fight an indictment charging him with abusing his power by pressuring a Democratic prosecutor to step down.

this is pretty ironic given the fact the allegations stem from him pressing the local district attorney to step down when facing charges.
