CDC confirms Dallas patient does have Ebola virus

ebolavirusThe U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed that a patient in a Dallas hospital has the Ebola virus.

The CDC is holding a press conference at 4:30 p.m. today and is sending a team to Dallas after the patient at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital tested positive for the deadly virus.

Specimens from patients isolated because of Ebola concerns are delivered to the CDC in Atlanta for testing that takes 24 to 48 hours.
