38 Dallas ISD and all of Arlington ISD schools closed

DISD-Logo-300Dallas ISD has announced 38 schools are closed due to the damage caused during Thursday’s storm which has left over 250,000 still without power including these campuses. Arlington was so hard hit the entire district is closed for the day.

Dallas ISD issued an announcement via their Facebook page:

“Several Dallas ISD schools are closed today, Friday, October 3.As of 5 a.m., 38 Dallas schools are without power and there has been no reassurance that power will be restored prior to 8 a.m. 

Staff and parents are urged to go to www.dallasisd.org for a listing of which schools will be closed. The list will be posted by 6:00 a.m. 

All other schools will remain open and buses will run on a normal schedule. All athletic events scheduled for tonight will take place. 

Non-campus staff should still report to work. 

Again, in the interest of safety 38 Dallas ISD schools are closed today, Friday, October 3. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.”
