Remembering the Charleston Shooting Victims

charleston shooting victimThe Charleston shooting victims ranged in age from 26 to 87 years old. They included college grads, politician and minster, women who served God and their church for years, and a librarian. They were together to pray and study the Word of God together. When a young, white man joined them for study they welcomed him and together they worshiped together for an hour.

Then the unthinkable happened, Dylann Roof declared he had to do this because, “‘You rape our women, and you’re taking over our country, and you have to go.’” He reportedly reloaded his weapon five times, and did not shoot one woman so she could tell others about what happened.

Today we have learned more about each of the victims, including Tywanza Sanders, 26 years old, who was described as having a “warm and helpful spirit.”
