The Irving Fire Department (IFD) is accepting registrations through July 31 for its Civil Service Exam, which will be administered Sept. 21. The department plans to hire more than 50 candidates, with an expected starting pay of approximately $4,202 per month.
Candidates must be between 21 and 35 years of age and a U.S. citizen. A college degree is not required, nor are firefighter or emergency medical technician (EMT) certifications necessary to register for the exam. Visit the IFD website for a full list of minimum eligibility requirements.
