On August 24, The Winston School, an intimate college preparatory school, rolled out the red carpet to welcome the incoming student body. On the first day of the new school year, each “star student” was greeted with an extra special, Hollywood style welcome hosted by media personality Amy Vanderoef and Emmy award-winning journalist Keith Lebowitz. Upon arrival, students were escorted by suit-clad teachers and walked the red carpet to be greeted by teachers and faculty.
The environment and curriculum of The Winston School are designed to help students reach their full potential. Learning differences are unique to the individual and may be manifested in various academic areas: each child deserves the opportunity to learn in the manner appropriate for his or her own distinctive style. Through Winston’s Testing and Evaluation Center, students are assessed and teachers are provided with the learning profiles, training, and resources needed to respond to the needs of each student.
