On August 24, The Winston School, an intimate college preparatory school, rolled out the red carpet to welcome the incoming student body. On the first day of the new school year, each “star student” was greeted with an extra special, Hollywood style welcome hosted by media personality Amy Vanderoef and Emmy award-winning journalist Keith Lebowitz. Upon arrival, students were escorted by suit-clad teachers and walked the red carpet to be greeted by teachers and faculty.
This event kicked off a special year for The Winston School as they are celebrating their 40 year anniversary and the groundbreaking of an addition to the school valued at over 4 million dollars. This year’s fundraising efforts are focused on raising money for needed enrichments to the space, such as a recording studio, state of the art auditorium, 2D and 3D art programs, science labs and more!
The ultimate goal is to develop ‘The Winston Model’, a model school program for all other schools in the US.
More details to be released as The Winston School heads toward their Gala, celebrating 40 years of service to talented students, which will take place on April 2nd at the Belo Mansion in Dallas.
