The City of McKinney invites residents and stakeholders to attend an interactive community summit to kick off a 10-year update to the city’s Comprehensive Plan. The community summit allows residents to engage with city staff and the Comprehensive Plan project team to provide input on land use, parks, transportation, economic vitality and other quality of life issues.
The city’s Comprehensive Plan is a statement of the community’s vision for McKinney now and for the future.
Residents and stakeholders have two opportunities to attend this event. The first community summit is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 16 at McKinney High School, 1400 W. Wilson Creek Pkwy. The second community summit is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 17 at McKinney Boyd High School, 600 N. Lake Forest Dr. Doors open at 5 p.m. The first hour will include a hot dog dinner and an interactive open house session with project team members. The official summit dialogue begins at 6 p.m. Children are invited to attend and share their ideas for McKinney’s future at the Kid’s Station.
