UNCF STEM Scholars offering $25,000 scholarships to freshmen

gI_71039_UNCF_tag_3C_RGBUNCF is recently announced receipt of a $20 million gift given to establish the UNCF STEM Scholars Program, an initiative designed to identify and provide financial and academic support to five cohorts of 100 students (a total of 500) who are African-American college freshmen and who aspire to earn Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) degrees and pursue careers in STEM fields.  Each student will receive a $25,000 scholarship and support toward assuring their success.
Applications are being accepted until Feb. 3, 2016 but given the requirements of two letters of recommendation and essays, it is important to not wait until the last minute. For more information on how to apply for this scholarship visit UNCF’s website.
