Friday is deadline for Garland and Rockwall Red Cross registrations

redcrossHundreds of survivors of the Dec. 26 tornado have registered with the American Red Cross in order to access a variety of relief services. The deadline to register is Friday, Jan. 22, 2016.

Anyone needing to register with the Red Cross must go to their office at 4800 Harry Hines Blvd. in Dallas. For more information, call 214-678-4294.

Those who have registered may continue to gain access to long-term recovery needs by visiting the Recovery Assistance Center (RAC) at Granger Recreation Center in Garland, 1310 W. Avenue F, or calling 211 for case management referral.

The RAC is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Clients also may access the donation center for needed supplies.

Updates will be posted on the City of Garland Tornado Information page and the City’s Twitter and Facebook pages.

  1. Do you have any needs for children 4-8 years old? We have some clothes and some books and we do not want them to be sold. We want them to go to someone who will use them.
