They say everything is bigger in Texas, and this is no exception! Addison-based Nerium International and its Nerium Ripple Foundation is Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBS) largest corporate donor in the Nation raising $1.3 million in fundraising support in 2015 alone! As part of that $1.3 million nationally, Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star received $125,000 to provide mentors for at-risk youth in North Texas.
In celebration of National Mentoring month and Nerium’s outstanding commitment to the 112-year-old youth mentoring organization, BBBS is honoring Nerium and its Nerium Ripple Foundation at an exclusive event thisThursday, January 28. Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star Chief Executive Officer Pierce Bush will recognize Nerium’s massive impact on the organization. Nerium executives will also be present and speak on their personal BBBS mentoring experiences and announce an even bigger fundraising goal for 2016.
The executives attending the event are: Co-Chief Executive Officer Jeff Dahl and Chief Leadership Officer Renee Olson.
As Chief Leadership Officer at Nerium International, Renee Olson is instrumental in mentoring and guiding Nerium’s independent Brand Partners as they start, develop and expand their respective Nerium businesses. She is credited with helping drive Nerium’s sustained growth and helping the company become the fastest direct sales company to achieve $100 million in revenue in its first full year of operation and a cumulative $1 Billion in itsfirst four years. Additionally, Renee’s focus extends beyond nurturing the sales force to focus on Nerium philanthropic initiatives. Her business acumen and philanthropic efforts have resulted in her being profiled in both Direct Selling News and SUCCESS from Home magazine as a leading female executive in the direct sales industry.
Renee is also a keynote speaker at Nerium Sales & Training events, which range in attendance from 10 to 20 thousand attendees. At these events, Renee promotes and educates Brand Partners on Nerium’s corporate philanthropic efforts. In particular, Renee highlights the importance of Nerium’s partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters and inspires attendees to become mentors to children in need or contribute funds to support the program.
Renee’s involvement with Big Brothers Big Sisters is not just as a corporate sponsor – she is also involved with the organization at a grass roots level serving as a mentor to a little girl for the past two years. Renee’s passion to give back to the community via this organization has resulted in over 300 Nerium executive, corporate employees and Brand Partners deciding to serve as mentors to at-risk kids. As an advocate of helping others achieve their dreams and goals, Renee has led fundraising efforts totaling more than $3.5 million dollars in four years to Big Brothers Big Sisters making Nerium the organization’s largest corporate fundraiser two years in a row. Renee has also established a partnership with the SUCCESS FOUNDATION to host teen success workshops across the country. These workshops teach kids the skills needed to achieve their dreams. To date, thousands of teens have attended these free workshops.
In 2015, Renee helped create Nerium’s corporate Ripple Foundation which included expanding the Nerium philanthropic partners to include World Vision International. The goal of the Ripple Foundation is to expand Nerium’s philanthropic efforts globally and to provide financial support to a number of different organizations.
