SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Von Miller was named MVP of Super Bowl 50 for the Denver Broncos after the team’s 24-10 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium.

Miller had 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and six total tackles.

Miller’s strip-sack of Cam Newton in the first quarter gave the Broncos their first touchdown and the Panthers their first of four turnovers. Malik Jackson recovered the football in the end zone to give Denver a 10-0 lead.

He zoomed past right tackle Mike Remmers and broke in on Newton to rip the football away from the Panthers quarterback, who was named the regular-season MVP on Saturday night.
