Cyclists Will Ride Toward a World Free of MS at Bike MS Sam’s Club

BikeMS_SamsClubRoundUpRide-FINAL-Print-01An estimated 2,500 cyclists are expected to raise more than $1.7 million to stop MS in its tracks, restore what has been lost and end MS forever at the 29th Annual Bike MS Sam’s Club: Round-Up Ride taking place April 30-May 1 from Frisco to Fort Worth. Bike MS, hosted by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, is the premier fundraising cycling series in the U.S. for anyone seeking a personal challenge and a world free of multiple sclerosis. All participants have access to bike mechanics, support vehicles, rest stops every 10-12 miles, a finish line celebration and much more.

Bike MS, Jr. is a fun and safe bicycle ride for kids 5-14 years of age that want to help create a world free of MS. The ride takes place at Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday, April 30, and the fee to register for Bike MS, Jr. is $25. While there is no fundraising requirement for participants, 60 Bike MS, Jr. riders raised more than $16,000 in 2015 to support MS research and programs and services that directly impact those living with the disease.

Attracting nearly 100,000 participants nationwide each year with more than 85 Bike MS rides taking place across the country, anyone anywhere can accept the challenge and fuel progress to help create a world free of MS. The largest fundraising cycling series in the country, Bike MS includes people living with MS, their friends, families and neighbors, as well as corporate teams and individuals who are driven to support critical research and life-changing services to help people with MS live their best lives. People living with MS can also participate in “I Ride with MS,” a special program recognizing Bike MS cyclists living with the disease.

The event is scheduled for April 30 – May 1, 2016; with the ride starting at 7a.m. each day. Day 1 starts at Embassy Suites in Frisco, and ends at Texas Motor Speedway. On Day 2, cyclists leave Texas Motor Speedway for a finish line celebration at Sundance Square in Fort Worth. Route Options for Day 1: 86-mile and 100-mile (century) options with the 49-mile lunch express route; Day 2: 74-miles with the 30-mile lunch express route
