Suspect arrested in Irving’s Double Homicide Investigation

IrvingPDIrving, Texas  – The Irving Police Department is investigating a double homicide that occurred on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 in the 300 block of Rolston Road. At approximately 5:25 p.m. officers were dispatched to a shooting call and located two deceased victims in an apartment. Both victims, an adult male and an adult female, were deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers received information that the suspect was in a nearby apartment. A short time later, he was located and taken into custody.

The initial investigation revealed that the suspect and female victim were acquaintances but the motive for the shooting is unclear. The identities of the victims are being withheld pending nextof-kin notification. The identity of the suspect will be made available once he is booked into the Irving City Jail.

The investigation is still in the primary stages; however, additional information will be released once it becomes available.
