Rock the Vote events planned at Collin College next week

rock the voteRegister to vote at upcoming Rock the Vote! voter registration drives at Collin College.

Each event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 6 at the Preston Ridge Campus Quad (Cougar Den in case of rain) at 9700 Wade Blvd. in Frisco. The registration drives continue on Wednesday, Sept. 7 in the Spring Creek Campus Atrium located at 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway in Plano and Thursday, Sept. 8 in the Central Park Campus Atrium located at 2200 W. University Drive in McKinney.

To be eligible to register to vote in Texas, individuals must:

  • be a United States citizen
  • be a resident of the county
  • be 18 years old (may register at 17 years and 10 months)
  • not be a convicted felon (unless a person’s sentence is completed, including any probation or parole)
  • not be declared mentally incapacitated by a court of law

Rock the Vote is hosted by the Center for Scholarly and Civic Engagement and facilitated by the Collin County League of Women Voters certified registrars.
