On the anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, NFL fans, media and onlookers everywhere were looking for possible gestures or statements by players during the national anthems across the league. They got some, first in Kansas City from the Chiefs and from Marcus Peters, then in Seattle from players on both the Seahawks and Dolphin.
At their game later Sunday afternoon in Seattle, four Dolphins players — Arian Foster, Kenny Stills, Michael Thomas and Jelani Jenkins — knelt side-by-side on the sideline during the anthem, as the rest of their teammates stood at attention on either side of them.
As the first quarter of the late Sunday games ended, no other players were known to have made any gestures during the anthem. At several games, players from both teams joined volunteers in holding the on-field American flag during the ceremonies

I support all the protesters who don’t stand for the anthem…’nuff said…but…why? do such a thing?…consider the racism that has been so important in the history of this country…consider the racism of Francis Scott Key – himself, consider the dastardly deeds that have been done in the name of blind allegience to this country vis a vis the pledge of allegience to the flag and the national anthem mess, consider that such blind allegience to inanimate objects and man-made ideas like nationalism is forbidden in the Bible and…I support the NFL and other protesters….consider that.
