Minority and Irving immigrant community hosting retirement party for Chief Boyd

After serving the Irving community for more than 12 years, Chief Larry Boyd is retiring. Irving, a very diverse city, has generally enjoyed solid relationship with the police under the leadership of Chief Boyd. In appreciation, the minority and immigrant community plan to thank the Chief at a retirement party on Nov. 4 at 6 p.m.

The party hosted by Father Pedro Portillo scheduled to be held at Santa Maria de Guadalupe Lutheran Church located at 2601 S. MacArthur Blvd. will include complimentary food and beverages.

The public is invited to join in saying thank you to Chief Brown on Nov. 4.
