Vigil for Greenville shooting victim ends in gunfire

WFAA is reporting several gunshots were fired at the vigil in Dallas held on behalf of Kevin Berry.

Last night at a party of more than 700 partygoers, a shooter reportedly came in through a back entrance and was believed to be targeting a single victim. However, after shooting that individual, possibly Kevin Berry, they shot in the crowd. More than a dozen were shot, and two fatalities. The only name released so far was Kevin Berry.

A vigil was scheduled for Dallas tonight. The tv reporter and cameraman had to find safety to continue their reporting following multiple gunshots.

According to the station’s report, Berry was a 23-year-old father of two with another baby on the way. He was at the party in Greenville after taking his kids to see their mother. He died in his brother’s arms, his mother said.

No reports yet on if anyone was shot during tonight’s violence.
