The 17th annual North Texas Giving Day shattered records this year as Communities Foundation of Texas (CFT) celebrated the unmatched generosity of North Texans.
At midnight on September 18, CFT reported $74.2 million in donations from 94,000 donors supporting more than 3,500 local nonprofits. After processing additional gifts, the total climbed to $78 million, contributed by over 100,000 givers across the region.
This year also saw the largest number of participating nonprofits in the program’s 17-year history. Since its inception, North Texas Giving Day has now raised more than $710 million, reinforcing the community’s deep commitment to helping others.
“North Texans once again showed the extraordinary power of collective generosity,” said Wayne White, President and CEO of Communities Foundation of Texas. “Many nonprofits have faced unexpected funding challenges this year. Thanks to individuals, families, and businesses giving in record-breaking ways, North Texas Giving Day continues to meet those needs.”

As the largest regional fundraising event in the country, North Texas Giving Day empowers residents to support causes they care about—ranging from education and healthcare to the arts, environment, and animal welfare.
In 2024, more than 88,000 donors raised $70 million for 3,284 nonprofits, showing the event’s continued year-over-year growth.
“North Texas Giving Day is an inspiring reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together,” said Vickie Yakunin, Head of Community Affairs at Amazon, the event’s presenting sponsor. “Amazon is proud to stand with thousands of nonprofits and the generous individuals who made this a record-breaking year.”
CFT and its sponsors cover all transaction and technology fees. This ensures 100% of every tax-deductible donation on NorthTexasGivingDay.org goes directly to nonprofits.
The City of Dallas recognized the impact by proclaiming September 18, 2025, as North Texas Giving Day. This honors the shared dedication to local philanthropy.
“There’s no deadline on generosity,” White added. “NorthTexasGivingDay.org stays open year-round, and every dollar supports local organizations making a difference.”
Looking ahead, CFT plans to expand giving opportunities through matching fundraisers, corporate giving campaigns, and nonprofit-led events throughout the year. The next North Texas Giving Day is set for September 17, 2026.
