DALLAS — NFIB State Director Jeff Burdett urges Texans to vote YES on Prop 9 to help Main Streets thrive.
In an op-ed for The Dallas Morning News, Burdett explains how Prop 9 would enable small business reinvestment in workforce and operations, boosting Texas’ economic competitiveness.
“If approved by voters this November, it would save Texas small businesses more than $500 million annually,” Burdett writes.
“These tax savings allow owners to expand operations, increase wages, and support local communities.

It also strengthens Texas’ competitiveness compared to neighboring states. Now, voters must ensure this tax relief becomes reality and is enshrined in the Texas Constitution.”
Prop 9 aims to provide meaningful financial relief, helping businesses invest in employees, operations, and growth opportunities. Supporters say it would enhance Main Street vitality, encourage job creation, and strengthen local economies.
