Collin College Hosts Free Screening and Discussion of It’s a Wonderful Life

FRISCO — Collin College invites the community to a free movie night and discussion. The event will feature It’s a Wonderful Life at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 19, in the Frisco Campus Conference Center.

However, the film screening and panel discussion are open to the public without charge. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and seating is limited.

It’s a Wonderful Life follows George Bailey, played by actor James Stewart. He is a man on the edge of despair. An angel reveals how life would unfold if George had never existed.

Moreover, the heartwarming film explores hope, community, and the value of every life. It aligns with this year’s Auteur Film Series theme, “Allegories of the Cave.”

The Auteur Film Series presents classic, foreign, and independent films each semester. Faculty introduce the films before each screening.

Afterward, panel discussions invite students and guests to reflect on themes and perspectives. The program aims to inspire critical thinking and civil conversation.

Additionally, all films in the series begin at 7 p.m. at the Frisco Campus Conference Center, located at 9700 Wade Blvd.
