Enough Is Enough (EIE) said the Texas lawsuit against Roblox must force immediate child safety improvements. The lawsuit, filed by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, claims Roblox “flagrantly ignored state and federal online safety laws while deceiving parents.”
Currently, Roblox faces over 35 lawsuits, according to ABC News. In one case, a judge denied Roblox’s request for private arbitration. This allows the public lawsuit over child sexual exploitation to continue.
Donna Rice Hughes, EIE President and CEO, stated, “Roblox is rightly facing lawsuits for failing to protect children on its platform. Will Roblox act to end sexual exploitation? If not, the lawsuits will compel action.”
EIE praised AG Paxton for representing children harmed by sexual exploitation. Hughes added, “Roblox claims to be safe, yet predators still target minors.”

Moreover, a Guardian journalist reported logging in as a child and experiencing cyberbullying, avatar killing, and sexual assault despite parental controls. Hindenburg Research described Roblox as exposing children to grooming, pornography, violent content, and abusive speech.
Hughes emphasized, “It should not take lawsuits or survivors to compel Roblox to act. The company must implement immediate safety changes.” She urged Congress to pass the Kids Online Safety Act, which would require companies to prevent harms to minors, provide strong youth protections, and increase transparency around data collection.
Finally, Hughes warned parents and grandparents: “Roblox is currently not a safe platform for the children in your lives.”
