The North Texas FIFA World Cup 2026™ Organizing Committee, in coordination with the City of Dallas, announced the grand opening of Dallas’ FIFA World Cup 2026™ Volunteer Center at the Food and Fiber Pavilion at Fair Park. The center will serve as the central hub for volunteer training and support leading up to the tournament.
Spanning over 25,000 square feet, the Volunteer Center will host applicants and volunteers, providing guidance and training for each individual role. It also aims to educate participants on the history of the FIFA World Cup™ and the role Dallas and the North Texas region will play in 2026 and beyond.
Beginning immediately, approximately 15,000 applicants are expected to attend Volunteer Team Tryouts at the pavilion, competing for one of 6,100 volunteer positions across Dallas and the North Texas region. This represents the second-largest pool of volunteers required by any Host City.

“Dallas is gearing up to take the spotlight on the global stage with the World Cup next year, and our volunteers are essential to making this event a success,” said Dallas Mayor Eric L. Johnson. “Dallas’s community-focused volunteer spirit is unmatched, and I’m excited to see our volunteers serve as outstanding Dallas ambassadors as we showcase our renowned Texas hospitality to the world.”
The North Texas FWC Organizing Committee, in coordination with FIFA, developed a volunteer strategy tailored to Dallas’ tournament footprint, which includes nine matches, a semifinal, and the FIFA Fan Festival™. Selected volunteers will be placed in roles ranging from Accreditation, Ceremonies, Fan and Guest Operations, Language Services, to Host City Ambassadors. Role offers will be sent between January and March 2026.
“Today’s grand opening marks another important milestone in preparations for North Texas next summer,” said Monica Paul, President of the North Texas FWC Organizing Committee. “Volunteers will gain valuable experiences and memories while providing critical assistance in key operational positions throughout the tournament.”
Beyond its operational role, the Volunteer Center demonstrates the committee’s commitment to community engagement, volunteer legacy, and North Texas hospitality. The initiative is expected to generate long-term economic, cultural, and civic benefits for the region while ensuring a memorable FIFA World Cup 2026™ experience for all volunteers.
