SURFACE available at pop up store in Stonebriar Mall today only

A young man named Glenn bought the first Surface for Windows RT sold in Microsoft’s new pop-up store in New York City’s Times Square on Oct. 26, 2012. The device was signed by Panos Panay, general manager of Surface for Microsoft.

Microsoft opened a holiday store located in Stonebriar Centre Mall in Frisco yesterday – one of 34 new pop-up stores opening the same day in North America. The store is the only opportunity for DFW shoppers to see demos and purchase in-person its first ever tablet, the Microsoft Surface and Windows 8 which was available for the first time yesterday.

When the store opened on Friday, they were greeted with about 100 eager Microsoft fans. After today, Microsoft will be selling the Surface exclusively at its retail stores and online at microsoftstore.com.

Have you seen Windows 8 or the Surface tablet – do you plan to make the switch?
