Dallas Cowboy fans invited to fundraiser for local military charity and send holiday care packages to troops

Before the game on Sunday, Dec. 16, Crown Royal Whisky will provide adult fans (21 and over) of the Dallas Cowboys the opportunity to support the military by visiting a tailgate located at 2533 McKinney Avenue (close to the intersection of McKinney Avenue and Routh Street) to stuff special holiday care packages for servicemen and women.

As part of a series of events taking place throughout the nation, the Crown Royal Heroes Project is an on-going commitment from the whisky brand to recognize, honor and support America’s finest serving in the U.S. Armed Forces.

At the event, adult consumers will fill commemorative Crown Royal CAMO bags with items to be sent overseas including snacks and food.

For every bag stuffed, Crown Royal will make a donation to Defenders of Freedom, a Dallas non-profit organization that aids wounded soldiers in their transition to civilian life.

The event on Sunday is scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 16 from 1 – 3 p.m. at 2533 McKinney Avenue in Dallas, near the intersection of McKinney Avenue and Routh Street. For more information about the Crown Royal Heroes project, and to fill out your own postcard to be sent to service men and women overseas, visit www.facebook.com/CrownRoyal.
