veterans day
The Daughters of World War II and the World Affairs Council will honor WWII veterans and Holocaust survivors with a special concert at Dallas City Performance

The Daughters of World War II and the World Affairs Council will honor WWII veterans and Holocaust survivors with a special concert at Dallas City Performance Hall.  The Featured performer will be Elisabeth von Trapp, granddaughter of the legendary Maria and Baron von Trapp, whose story inspired The Sound of Music. Her performance will be a tribute to the veterans and survivors to commemorate this special anniversary.

This event will take place on the 69th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day (V-E Day) May, 8. The event will be held at 7 p.m. at the Performance Hall, 2520 Flora St. Proceeds will benefit Daughters of WWII.

V-E Day marks the date in 1945 when the WWII Allies formally accepted the unconditional surrender to Nazi Germany, thus ending the war in Europe.

Seating for the event is limited and reservations are required. World War II veterans and Holocaust Survivors are complimentary. Daughters of WWII and World Affairs members and guests are $25. All others are $50.

For reservations contact kathrynswisher@daughtersofww2.org or call 469-278-5535.
