PLANO — In anticipation of the largest cultural festival in Plano, the Plano International Festival has partnered with the Plano Multi-Cultural Outreach Roundtable (MCOR) to host the seventh annual Leadership Reception on Tuesday August 27, 2013, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., at the Center for American and International Law, 5201 Democracy Drive, Plano 75024.

The Leadership Reception is a collaborative effort between corporate executives, government officials and community leaders to celebrate Plano’s diversity and explore how leaders can work together to support community unity in Plano.

Plano Mayor Harry LaRosiliere will welcome attendees with opening remarks followed by a panel discussion moderated by Plano Deputy City Manager LaShon Ross. The evening’s topics focus on the local impact of global business and how to imbue future leaders with a global vision, led by Dr. Mike Pang, Jindal Chair of Global Strategies at UTD’s Jindal School of Management. Live entertainment will be provided by the Plano Clarinet Choir.

The year-round efforts of MCOR will culminate on Saturday, October 5 at the 8th Annual Plano International Festival at Haggard Park. The Plano International Festival, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, celebrates cultural diversity within Plano, creates an opportunity for cultural organizations to collaborate and advances Plano’s reputation as an international city.

Supporting sponsors include the Center for American and International Law and Laurie Steenis, Realtor® and Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) with Keller Williams Realty-Plano.
