indexFrisco Fire Chief Mark Piland will host a second ‘Coffee with the Chief’ on Wednesday, August 28 from 7 a.m. – 8:30 a.m. at Central Fire Station, 8601 Gary Burns Drive.

Residents can enjoy a cup of coffee while learning more about the Frisco Fire Department and its offerings, including ambulance services and free, safety education programs such as

Citizens Fire Academy (CFA) and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). Applications are currently being accepted for both courses.

“Often times, we meet people under stressful circumstances,” said Chief Piland. “This is a chance for folks to meet us, ask questions, learn more about the fire and ambulance services we provide, and learn more about the equipment we use. It’s also a chance for people to discover the many, free public education programs we offer year round.”
