indexOn August 26 the Plano City Council approved a license agreement with Live Nation Worldwide, Inc. for the promotion and production of a multi-day, multi-act music festival at Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve to take place in spring of 2014.

“The community of Plano has a great opportunity to build a music festival with Live Nation. Not only will they deliver a world-class live music event but this event will become a great economic engine for our community, creating job opportunities and increasing visitors to our City. We look forward to working with them,” stated Mayor Harry LaRosiliere.

“We are thrilled to have this opportunity to deliver a world-class music festival in 2014 to Plano and the greater Dallas/Ft. Worth area,” stated Danny Eaton, Sr. Vice President for Live Nation – Dallas. “Our planning will commence immediately and we look forward to sharing more details about the 2014 festival later this year. As the leader in live entertainment, we know we can deliver a great event that will provide great music and be an economic driver bringing in visitors and creating some part-time employment opportunities.”
