WASHINGTON, DC — Rep. Marc Veasey (TX-33) released this statement following today’s Navy Yard shooting:

“I am deeply saddened by the tragic shootings in Washington, D.C. this morning, just blocks from the Capitol in the Navy Yard. My heart goes out to the victims and their families. Let us keep them and our brave first responders in our thoughts and prayers as the search for suspects continues and facts become known about the sad events of this morning.”
