ABC makes a pilot commitment for new Kevin Hart sitcom

kevinDivorce has been very good to Kevin Hart professionally.

First, his comedy concert film, Let Me Explain, which he produced and financed this year was very successful for an independent project. Now The Hollywood Reporter’s website indicates ABC has agreed to greenlight a pilot episode of Kevin Hart’s sitcom about the efforts of a divorced couple to remain friends for the sake of the kids:

“The network has made a put pilot commitment for a half-hour comedy project based on the red-hot comedian’s stand-up act. The project, fromCommunity’s Neil Goldman and Garrett Donovan, takes a candid look at the post-divorce life of a couple trying to forge a friendship for the sake of their kids, despite their differences. Hart doesn’t plan to star but likely will play a recurring role if the series goes forward.”
