Register for the Jacob Logan run for 21

imageedit_3_2095109201This past weekend has been one year since the passing of Coppell Student and Football player Jacob Logan (#21), after a cliff diving accident at Possum Kingdom Lake. After a difficult year for his family and friends they have moved forward to honor his memory by organizing THE JACOB LOGAN FUN FOR 21, a 5K and Fun Run to be held on Saturday December 21, 9:00am, at Andy Brown Park East in Coppell, TX.

Registration is $21 per runner until Saturday, December 13 and is available on line at www.JacobLoganRun.com. Race Day registration opens at 8:00 am, the One Mile Fun Run will begin at 9:00 am and the 5K Run/Walk starts at 9:30 am followed by an awards ceremony at 10:30 am.

All proceeds from the run will be used to build Jacob’s LifeVision Home at Family Legacy’s Tree of Life Children’s Village near Lusaka,

Zambia. Jacob’s LifeVision Home will be a transitional home for boys that are nearing the end of high school and preparing to leave the

Tree of Life orphanage. This home will help them transition into their next stage, weather it is college or learning a trade. These boys

will live with a mentor that will help them as they adjust to adult life and responsibilities.

“Ever since Jacob’s death, there has been a huge hole in my heart. In Zambia, for the first time, it began to get filled…” said Jordan Logan,

Jacob’s younger sister. “Losing Jacob has put our lives on a different path, and working with the children in Zambia is a perfect way to honor him.”

Additional race, charity, sponsor, and donor information is available at www.JacobLoganRun.com For immediate information on sponsorship opportunities, contact Quay Bratton at quaybratton@gmail.com.
